2010 NWPC Events
The Nashville Women's Political Caucus hosts the Spring Revue each April. In the fall, the Good Guys Awards allows us to honor the men in our community who have worked to engage women in the political process and community leadership. Our annual Day on the Hill Breakfast helps our members and partner organization reach out to our lawmakers on important issues that affect womens' lives.

2010 Spring Revue Honoring Andrea Conte
Loews Vanderbilt, Nashville,
Tennessee
Andrea Conte, First Lady of Tennessee, is well-known for her commitment to crime and victimization prevention. In April 2008, she received the National Crime Victim Service Award from U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey for her “extraordinary efforts in direct services to crime victims.” She began her commitment to serving crime victims by founding You Have the Power…Know How to Use It in 1993, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to raising awareness about crime and justice issues. Conte continues her commitment today through the expansion of Child Advocacy Centers to each of the state’s 32 judicial districts. She has walked annually to raise awareness about child abuse and raise funds for these centers, which are child-friendly places that provide counseling and other services to children who suffer from abuse as well as their families. The First Lady also embarked on a successful campaign to restore and preserve Tennessee’s Executive Residence that reached completion in spring 2008. Construction continues on Conservation Hall, which is expected to be finished this fall.
